The staff is knowledgeable, professional and very courteous. I learned the owner, Lynne Beegle-Gebhard, was born into an equine family. Her mother was one of the finest saddle bred ladies from Portsmith,Ohio, starting her career early and used her show winnings to pay her way through college at Ohio State. Lynne's mother, upon graduation, joined theOhioStatefaculty and taught equine studies for several years.
The lesson horses are incredible! They are intelligent, quiet and forgiving for the young beginner and others are available for the intermediate and advanced riders. I was stunned to learn this farm allows you to ride really nice and expensive horses in their lesson program.
I have also participated with Lynne in fox hunting during Virginia Hunt Week, several hunter paces, and a competitive trail ride at theHomestead. Lynne was always gracious and considerate of others whereby none were left behind.
In summary, this is a safe and fun place to bring your children to learn horseback riding, to bring your girl friend for a romantic trail ride, advance your skills as a young professional or just have fun as an empty nester. I promise you will not be disappointed.
